Where the workflow shifted

Cloudflare URL forwarding can help route legacy pages, extension paths, and retired language entries to preferred pages.

As a multilingual site grows, every old English path, .html URL, launch page, and retired locale should be classified as keep, redirect, remove, or review later.

Tool names are not outcomes

The signal matters when it changes how a team ships, reviews, or recovers work, not when it only names another tool.

Check permissions and failure

  • Build a path table with source URL, preferred URL, action, reason, and review date
  • Keep the test narrow: one low-risk task or tool entry before connecting permissions, logs, failure handling, and human takeover to production

What still needs proof

Unmanaged legacy paths create duplicate impressions, stale snippets, and reader confusion. Keep the original source open so the announcement, the evidence, and this site's interpretation stay separate.
